With Call a Bike, you are spontaneously and flexibly mobile around the clock. Whether you're on your way to work, after work or on a city trip, with Call a Bike you can rent a bike at any time and anywhere in Germany.
A total of 13,000 bikes are available in over 80 cities. You can also use the app to hire a bike from StadtRAD Hamburg and Lüneburg as well as RegioRadStuttgart.
All bikes are displayed on an interactive map in the app. You can rent them using the QR code or by entering the bike number.
You can pause your journey: simply activate it in the app and close the bike lock.
To return the bike, take it to one of the Call a Bike stations that you can find on the interactive map in the app.
You can view the details and costs of your journeys in your bookings at any time. You can also redeem voucher codes, report damage and manage your customer account here.

- want to continue the ride and park the bike at a station
- or simply pause your ride.
Otherwise we charge a service fee of at least 10 € for the return outside a station.

Our new app and the new lock make renting and returning our renewed bikes very easy:
- If the LED on the lock lights up green: the Call a Bike is ready to ride.
- Simply rent a bike in the app via QR code or bike number
- The lock now opens automatically as soon as you have started your rental. No more input is required on the bike (does not apply to StadtRÄDER).
- Before returning: If the LED on the lock flashes orange, you are outside the business area (additional fees apply if returned in those areas).
- To end the ride, simply press the lock lever down (does not apply to StadtRÄDER).
- You can find the costs and details of your ride under "Bookings".
- With your Call a Bike account, you can now also rent the StadtRÄDER in Hamburg and Lüneburg.
